Protecting pollinators. SUPPORTING Beekeeping communities.
Walkers Reserve Apiary Programme (WRAP)
Walkers Reserve Apiary Programme (WRAP)
Healthy bee populations mean healthy ecosystems. WRAP puts bees first, protecting, relocating, and managing hives in regenerative ways that support nature and people.

What is WRAP?
Bees add more value to our lives than most of us ever realise.
The Walkers Reserve Apiary Programme, better known as WRAP, is a beekeeping cooperative built on a simple principle: the health of the bees comes before what we can take from them. By putting bee populations ahead of commercialisation, we build stronger environmental and community benefits at a time when a changing climate demands both.
That means caring for more than honey bees. We also support Barbados' native pollinator species, because resilient food systems need a full community of pollinators, not a single species doing all the work.
Regenerative beekeeping may sound like a new idea. In truth, it's one of the oldest. People kept bees this way for thousands of years before industrial methods took over, and we've returned to it deliberately: no antibiotics, no GMOs, no herbicides or pesticides, and no commercial treatments like miticides and medications. The colonies build their own strength, the way they always have.

Hive removals.

Hive removals.
No pollinators means no ecosystem. Bees are critical to Barbados' food crops, wild plants and biodiversity. WRAP exists to keep them thriving.
Found a bee colony? Don't call pest control.
WRAP safely removes and relocates hives, keeping people safe and pollinators alive. Our highly experienced beekeepers assess the site, carefully remove the colony intact, and give it a new home within our regenerative network at the Reserve. The bees keep pollinating, the land keeps recovering, and you get a humane answer to a hive in the wrong place.
Our Head Beekeeper is calm, precise and completely at ease among thousands of bees. Watch him in action and you'll understand why we say the bees are in the best possible hands.

Everything you need to keep bees.
Whether you're setting up your first hive or scaling an apiary, WRAP has you covered. We stock quality hives, frames and foundation, nucleus colonies to start or strengthen your stock, and the full working kit: suits, veils, gloves, smokers, hive tools and feeders, plus the essentials that keep colonies healthy year-round.
More than that, we'll help you buy right. Tell us your goals and where your hives will sit, and we'll guide you to a setup that suits your site, your budget and Barbados' conditions, so you're not paying for gear you don't need.
Rather leave the beekeeping to us? We can manage your hive for you. Our team handles inspections, colony health and harvest, so you enjoy your own bees and honey without the day-to-day work. Every purchase does double duty: you get equipped, and the proceeds support our cooperative's regenerative work across the Reserve.

Raw honey, straight from the hive.
Unheated, unblended and bottled at the Reserve, our honey keeps everything the bees put into it: full flavour, natural texture and the character of the season itself. Colour and taste shift with whatever the bees are foraging, from pale gold in one bloom to deep amber in the next. No two batches are quite the same, and that's the point.
Batches are limited and strictly seasonal. When a harvest sells out, it's gone until the bees make more.
