Along the way, you will investigate the natural systems at work around you and discover how a former sand quarry is being regenerated into a place where habitats can recover and biodiversity can return. Stand beside freshwater ecosystems. Explore the relationship between mangroves, floodplains and estuaries. See how dunes are formed and discover the important role they play in protecting the coastline. Learn how regenerative agriculture can help people work with nature rather than against it.

Bring learning into the living world

The Educational Tour turns Walkers Reserve into an outdoor classroom where students can explore environmental systems in the place where they happen.

Led by a professional guide, the experience introduces students to subjects including permaculture, freshwater environments, mangroves, floodplains, estuaries, coastal processes and dune dynamics. It is designed to build environmental awareness while encouraging observation, critical thinking, curiosity and responsible action.
