Caribbean Birding Experience.

Start early, slow down and discover the birds drawn to the lakes, estuary, dunes and regenerated landscapes of Walkers Reserve.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of shorebirds make one of the longest journeys in the natural world, from the Arctic tundra of Canada and Greenland to the wetlands of South America.

As the birds arrive exhausted from July through October, Walkers Reserve's restored wetlands, dunes and regenerating woodland offer exactly what they need: safe water, rich feeding grounds and space to rest. That makes Walkers a remarkable place to encounter Barbados’ birdlife, from migratory shorebirds and wading birds to raptors and the resident species that make the Reserve their home year-round.

Whether you come with binoculars and a life list or simply want to watch one of the planet's great migrations unfold, Walkers Reserve puts you in the heart of the Atlantic Americas Flyway.
